BFF 2019 wrapped up the fourth annual event for our film festival in September.
Now we’re well underway developing the programme for next year.
And there are some big changes for the fifth event, plus the usual popular competitions you can already start preparing for.
BFF 2020: THE LOWDOWN
First off, there’s a new date—we’re shifting from our traditional September/October run to:
- June 19th-25th.
Feature film screenings will take place at the Olympic Cinema.
And many other events are planned to mark the occasion, with new schedule welcoming the start of summer with filmmaking, creative debates, and family-friendly workshops.
Submissions for our competitions are also now open, so you can start with your projects right away. The categories include:
- Short film competitions: Any genre, with all skill levels welcome (UK and international entries welcome).
- Youth short film showcase: This is for 18-year-olds and under. Again, we encourage all genres and levels of experience to enter (UK entries only).
You can submit your entries through our FilmFreeway account.
The event also continues to receive support from our patrons. These include Stanley Tucci, Vanessa Redgrave, Steven Moffat, George Mackay, and the Director of Film4 Daniel Battsek.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about next year’s event you can get in touch—we’re always happy to help.
